Ricarda worked in Tokyo with the artist and fashion designer Jurgen Lehl as a knit designer. Recognising her talents, Jurgen gave Ricarda freedom to express her creativity in any way she chose. This creative freedom has resulted in an incredible body of work.

Jurgen Lehl was always curious and supportive of Ricarda’s ideas, however unusual or unique. He allowed her to make samples even though manufacture of the item could not go ahead due to the cost and complexity of reproduction. He always gifted the samples to Ricarda.
